The Numbers Say It All!

As previously stated, the AUC is back and in full effect. When it comes to the Morehouse College Maroon Tiger football team.... They are in it to WIN it. The first football game of the season was LIVE, to say the very least. Stands were filled with students, families, and fans... and as for the field... the Maroon Tigers had absolutely NO MERCY!


In the AUC, the collegiate community in which the two makers of this Blog thrive, we are all about supporting one another and making it to the top of whatever game we play in life. We like to (as Ezekiel Phillips puts it) Feed off of each others energy. 'Man oh Man', were the Maroon Tigers able to Feed off of the enormous amount of positive energy coming from the stands at their first game of the season, and it brought nothing but SUCCESS!








With a win of .....ist. number..... our team showed Atlanta how a season should be kicked off. . and YES as always, we were there to deliver. ON THE APPLE BOX had all cameras on deck, ready to show the world how we get down 'round these parts. So, as always.. Check out the hotness!

Back on the Block

What better way to start off the year than with a Block Party?
And of course On The Apple Box captured it all.

With tons of Food, music, and fun, a "pre-academic" function was the perfect AUC Family Reunion! We all know that Atlanta University Center consists of a few of the top HBCUs in the country, so of course the GREEKS are definitely back on the yard and reppin' their organizations.

The excitement did not stop there. People hailing from all three institutions (Spelman College, Morehouse College, and Clark Atlanta University) were all dolled up and bringing their best "Macking" abilities to the table. With the AUC crowd you can expect nothing less.

As always, OTAB had to bring you all in for the Action, so that you can see how the AUC "gets down". Now don't forget the rule, that Time is Money, and time cannot be WASTED.

Adele's unique genre can hardly be explained in words, but I'd like to think it is a taste of Acoustic Pop, Jazz, and Ne-yo Soul, that appeals to the masses. Talk about a JOY RIDE

Well technically is was the First ride of my life. As most of you know, Ezekiel and I have had quite the summer. Handling what, at times, seems to be never-ending business. The good thing is that we LOVE what we do, and business equals pleasure. No matter the event, we always keep On The Apple Box in mind... and with this particular experience, we definitely brought OTAB along for the ride!




Horse back riding is something that I have always wanted to experience and never had the opportunity to do so. Therefore, while we were working out in LA, Ezekiel decided to show me what its all about! With an awesome mountain trail and a gorgeous view, the experience could not go without being captured. So, hold your breath, because the video will be coming soon, but for now... enjoy the pictures.

LEAD LOVE SAVE SERVE!

Another successful year at the Youth to Leaders Conference thats held annually across the united states.
I am so privileged to have come up out of this conference three years ago when it was held in Houston Texas @ Texas Southern University. Now three years later it was on my Coast which is the WEST COAST. The conference took place at UCLA for over a course of 4 days. The Youth to Leaders Conference is designed to help young people between the ages 13-18 male & females to find their Leader in themselves. TRUST ME the conference is very effective because before I came to the conference back in 06 as a Student Delegate, I thought that the streets was my Leader. After leaving that conference with so many educated young people from all across the states I just knew I needed to CHANGE the way I thought.


I have been extremely busy over the summer with filming and everything but there was no way I was going to miss the conference especially the Talent Show, Community Service Project, or the Closing Banquet!


Speaking of closing Banquet, the speaker of the night was on POINT! of course because she is my Big sister:) Ginene Lewis just graduated from Spelman College & now she is on her way to law school in the fall. She has been a Student delegate since she was 12 and was my counsel leader when I came into the Institute.




I had a GREAT Time & I enjoyed myself at the conference. As you know & can see in the picture with Tavis, I NEVER leave the house without my camera so as soon as Im done with the editing you will have access to it first!:) So until then continue to LEAD LOVE SAVE SERVE.. If anyone in the industry has their very own unique, unparalleled eye when it comes to filmmaking... it is none other than Mr. Tim Burton. Almost annually, he delivers mind blowing works that knock the socks off of the charts, critics, and viewers all across the world. His movies are known to take each person watching to a different place and time. A place that they can, usually, only visit in their dreams. Burton definitely has the ability to make dreams become realities. As a creator, he brings the best out of each script, writer, and actor that takes part in his projects. Oh, man!!! I HOPE that I can get on that level one day!



Right now, Burton is keeping everyone on their toes by slowly providing little bits of information on his up and coming film for 2010.. ALICE IN WONDERLAND! Check out the trailer, and keep your eyes and ears open and ready for this amazing piece of work!!

Thats what Im talking about Mr. President! Obama is truly my HERO!! I haven't seen a person in my life yet to celebrate another persons birthday on their special day. On his own 48th birthday, our president turned the spotlight on a reporter also celebrating her special day. NOW THATS SWAG AMERICA!!! I LOVE MY TEAM!!! Yesterday we shot day one for OverDoz's New Music Video "Crumbling Therapy" and we had a BLAST! Its nothing like having a VISON and getting together with your team to make that mission become a GREAT SUCCESS. The group, out of Los Angeles, has what it takes, not just to make it in the music industry, but in the film industry as well. Yes"Crumbling Therapy" is a music video, and not a movie, but the concept will make you feel like your watching a short movie/music video..lol... You guys all know whats been going on with music videos these days right? Well if you dont... people are running out of CREATIVE ideas so they feel like the only thing they can do is show The MONEY, CARS, CLOTHES, & The . . . . . Yeah you know the rest. Allah's Apprentice Success

A lot of people have there own meaning of what Success is. We all heard Drakes perspective and what success is through his eyes. My brother Vinson Muhammad that also attends Morehouse College, has a different look at the word SUCCESS

There isn't a day that goes by that when I see this Brotha Vinson I don't tell him that I want to be like him when I grow up. This brotha kicks things off with POSITIVE ENERGY every time he is encounters a person. Yes & he does it ALL!!! This young man Raps, Acts, Dances, Plays music, & Most Important he SERVES the People. The Great Dr. Cornel West said, "In order to Lead the People you have to LOVE the people & In order to SAVE the people you have to SERVE the people." If you ask me, I think this brotha has the formula down pact, and he is still working to keep it SHARP & to share it with others. . . We all know that Drake came out with a song called "Successful," and it was and still is a number 1 in many books...... Vinson Muhammad, on the other hand, figured he'd take a moment and Enlighten some of us on what SUCCESS really is.
