We just can't get enough of the group OverDoz here On The Apple Box. . .
As before stated, each of these young men bring fire to the table when it comes
to their lyrical artistry, and with this one, Mr. KENT has shown us, really, what
he is working with.
Having grown up in the South in our dear city of Atlanta and then migrating to the ever so wonderful West Coast, in a world of its own, Los Angeles, California, KENTs diverse upbringing has enabled him to develop a creative mind set that is unique and out of this WORLD!

We All Start Somewhere

It is true that in this industry we all have to start somewhere.. However, this individual did not just start anywhere. He started right next door, at Clark Atlanta University, the institution in which I am currently receiving my Film education while attending Spelman College.




BRYAN BARBER is a fantastic Filmmaker that began studying under one of my dearest mentors, "Dr. E" here in the AUC, during his undergraduate schooling experience. Since, he has definitely made a name for himself in the industry.




It is not every day that you walk down the street and come across a creative mind like that of Bryan Barber's. With a strong relationship with the outstanding music group Outkast, the three master minds have put their heads together for years to create visual greatness to complement the music. Having directed numerous (theatrical) music videos for the music group, Barber was also the director of the 2006 film Idlewild.



As always, On The Apple Box is always here to deliver.... and this week I had the opportunity to network with Mr. Barber while he came to speak to some of the young film students in the AUC. With many insightful and motivational words in regards to the film industry, I walked away from our discussion with much excitement and energy to continue in my personal pursuits as a filmmaker/artist. One thing we can all learn from Barber's story is that we all do start somewhere, and he started right here in the AUC, so if he can do it, we can do it. BE Passionate On The Apple Box!

I hope everyone has my boy Stafon Johnson in their prayers. I don't like to go off all the he say she say, so I wont start any myself. At this point I know that Stafon went through a 7 hour surgery and it was successful. TO GOD BE THE GLORY! All I can say is that God is good all the time and all the time God is good. My BIG bro has way more work to do before he leaves this earth, so that couldn't have been the END of him. Stafon even though you're way back home, you're in my prayers bro bro. ATTN All Women

....The secret was shared with me..... So, For those of you who have not been
to the movie theater in a while, and have not seen the previews for the
new up and coming films.... Im here to share the secret with you, and
tell you (ladies) that you don't know what you are in for.. and you (males)
that though this will be enjoyable for you as well... I wouldn't exactly
advise going to the theater to see this with your girl, because you will be
NONexistent for a few hours.
